About Us

Our History: Pumpernickel's Bagelry was founded back in 1991 by Jim and Debbie Doherty. This location was the old retail outlet for a caterer named Moveable Feast. Before Moveable Feast the store was a head shop, or so they say. Pumpernickel's was an immediate hit in the neighborhood. It got so busy over the years that jim and Debbie brought in jim's cousin Brigid to help. Brigid turned out to be a natural. She and her husband Rob Gillette bought the business a few years later and continue to run it today.
